Lamb Gyro
Delicious lamb gyro with tzatziki and spicy red sauce
Ingredients
Lamb
- 2 lamb chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsbp rosemary
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp coarse ground pepper
- 1 juice of lemon
Tzatziki
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 cucumber
- t tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Spicy Red Sauce
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp siracha
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 juice and zest of lemon
- kosher salt
Toppings
- 2 pitas
- diced tomatoes
- shredded lettuce
- feta cheese
- dill
Instructions
Lamb
- Season lamb with all seasonings and lemon juice, and allow to sit for an hour to rise to room temperature
- Heat grill on high and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until medium rare
- Slice lamb thinly, and place into pita with lettuce, tomatoes, feta, dill, and sauces of your choice
Tzatziki
- Peel skin from cucumber, and grate into a bowl
- Add all ingredients into a bowl and equally mix

- Add all ingredients into bowl and mix
