Classic Bread
Delicious classic bread recipe with minimal rise time
Ingredients
- 2 packets dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 5 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar. Allow mixture to sit until it begins to bubble
- In a mixing bowl combine hot water, remaining sugar, salt, oil, yeast mixture, and 3 cups of flour
- Slowly add remaining flour, and once evenly mixed allow 1 hour minimum for the dough to rise
- Divide the dough into 2 balls, and then roll each ball into a roll. Place on greased cookie sheet, and then brush with beaten egg.
- Cook in the oven at 400 F for 30 minutes
